Refunds and Returns Policy

Last updated: 20.07.26

We want you to be happy with your LEGO® sets. This policy sits alongside, and does not replace, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (see our Terms and Conditions).

Changed your mind? (14-day cooling-off period)

You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods. To do this:

  1. Email info@bricktraders.co.uk with your order number, confirming you wish to cancel.
  2. Return the item(s) to us within 14 days of telling us you want to cancel.
  3. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back (or of you showing proof of postage, if earlier).

Condition of returned goods: We can only offer a refund on a change-of-mind return where the set is sent back to us in the same condition it was sent to you — for new sets, unbuilt and with seals/bags intact where applicable; for used sets, complete and unaltered as described in the listing. You are of course entitled to unpack an item and inspect it as you reasonably would in a shop, but if a set is built, parts are separated from their bags, or the set is otherwise used or altered beyond that reasonable inspection, we may make a deduction from your refund to reflect any reduction in value, or in some cases decline the return. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described (see below).

Return postage costs for a change-of-mind cancellation are payable by you, unless we agreed otherwise.

Faulty, incomplete, or not as described

We check every used set by hand before it’s listed, and we always replace any parts we find missing. Occasionally, because checks are done by humans, something can be missed. If your set arrives faulty, with parts missing that weren’t disclosed in the listing, or otherwise not matching its description:

  1. Contact us at info@bricktraders.co.uk within a reasonable time of noticing the problem, with your order number and details (photos help us resolve things quickly).
  2. We will always look to put things right first — for example, by sending the missing or faulty part(s).
  3. Where that isn’t possible or appropriate, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, depending on how soon the fault is reported and the nature of the problem.

This right is separate from, and not limited by, the 14-day cooling-off period above.

What our condition descriptions mean

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for the full explanation of terms such as light creasing, shelf wear, creasing/denting, box opened to check contents, and replacement box. Because these are disclosed features of the listing rather than faults, a return made simply because the box matched its stated condition (e.g. “light creasing” as described) is treated as a change-of-mind return, not a faulty-goods return.

How to arrange a return

Contact us first at info@bricktraders.co.uk before sending anything back, so we can confirm the return and the best way to send it. Please package sets securely — ideally in a way similar to how they arrived — to avoid damage in transit, as we cannot refund in full for damage caused by inadequate return packaging on a change-of-mind return.

Refund method

Refunds are made to the original payment method used to place the order.
